What is wrong with UFC's fans?

The last UFC's events showed us how the people are changing about the their point of view. If we look UFC168, Rousey vs. Tate, is possible understand better my point. There was a reality show prior the fight, and before the reality, Rousey was a good girl, beautiful and interesting for almost everybody.Though, the reality came and people started to "hate" Rousey because her behavior against Tate. What I realize the last days, was men talking bad things about this woman and saiyng that she cried a lot and things like that.

There are things to think about it: First, she is a woman and it's very normal that as a woman, she cry, has intensive emotions and time to be very angry. It's normal it guys and I think it become worse when you are dwelling at the same place that your opponent. What I don't understand is the fans behavior, she is human and will always do right or wrong things.

Many people was saying that she didn't respect her opponent after the fight. In sport world's there is a law that say: If you respect your opponent, you must seek the win all time. This is respect, and inside the octagon, she respected Tate all time, because she seeked the win in all rounds.
You don't need to like your opponent but need to respect him and fight with this idea in mind. It would hypocrisy if she has shaken her hands after all that emotions inside the reality show.

It's easy to judge someone and go against him without think how hard is to do what we are talking about. Just think about it.

Full Fight: UFC 167 GSP vs Hendricks

Back on time and remember this fight GSP vs Hendricks, UFC 167. The result of this fight was polemic, with people as Dana White saying that the result was wrong. And now with the last coments of GSP, this fight come back to the top of the fights most talked around the world.

Come back to it and enjoy it:

The event commemorated the organization's 20th anniversary. The main event was a UFC Welterweight Championship bout between the current champion Georges St-Pierre and #1 contender Johny Hendricks. Co-featured on the card was a light-heavyweight bout between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans and Chael Sonnen.

What is wrong with UFC?

In the last week, we could listen about the issues that GSP has said in a interview in his coutry. He said about some reasons to leave UFC, as testing drugs, and why he did it:

"It bothered me greatly," St-Pierre said, according to the Canadian Press. "It was one of the reasons I decided to step aside.

"I tried to change things and unfortunately -- maybe for money reasons, maybe for image -- they were not ready to do that. I tried in a very diplomatic way and it didn't work, so it's unfortunate, but I believe it will happen sooner or later."

What turn it more weird is the fact that GSP said all this things after left the ufc and nobody out the company had noticed it before. This feeling that is in the air it's very bad for UFC projects, because GPS is a great name in organization and when a great name talk bad things, it's time to many explanations and discussions around this subject.
Lorenzo Fertitta, UFC's CEO, said somethings that was shocked and said more:

"We've made it clear, through presentations at various athletic commissions, that we advocate for the most rigorous drug testing possible," Fertitta said. "We've actually advocated for harsher penalties for PEDs."

"Maybe Georges didn't understand the level of drug testing Nevada was doing. They are the ultimate authority that handles drug testing, medicals and everything else -- and they are very capable."

This story yet has not a end, but in a little days we will know more about it.

What Henderson said about Belfort and TRT?

In a interview for The MMA Hour , Dan Henderson said it about Belfort and TRT:

“I don't know, I'm not going to point fingers and say things I have no idea about,” he said. “Obviously [Vitor] wouldn’t be able to use TRT here, but I just feel like he’s definitely…his body has changed a little bit in the last couple of years that he hasn’t been fighting here.

“There’s reasons for that. He’s been fighting a long time and we’ve seen his body change a couple of different times. It is what it is. At the same time, I have no idea, he could be doing everything right by the book and the way he should. Which is what he should have done years ago, as well.”

What become it more interesting is that Henderson does the same treatment that Belfort does. Maybe Henderson is a little upset about the last fight, but it was not good to say about someone that does the same treatment. The fact is that who do this treatment is constantly tested.

Whe he was questioned about if Belfor will win, he said:

“Vitor is very capable of beating anybody in those first few minutes of a fight because he is dangerous and he hits hard,” Henderson said. “But, I just -- I don't see it happening, especially if the fight is in the U.S.”

What do you think about it?

Dos Santos vs Overeem. Is it possible?

Luiz Dorea, Junior Dos Santos head coach, has said for some media that they hope that the next Cigano's fight be with Overeem. "The UFC has great athletes, the best, but a fight that we wanted to see is against Overeem," he said. "It was expected to happen before and didn’t. But they have great fighters in the UFC, so anything can happen. He will fight anyone they want."

The match-up, planned twice by the promotion in the past, was cancelled after Overeem failed a pre-fight drug test at UFC 146 in 2012, and injured a year later, prior to UFC 160.
It will be good for Dos Santos, because is a great fight and because Overeem is in a bad moment inside de octagon. He has lost the last two fights, with Antonio Silva and Travis Bourne, and need to win his next fight agains Mir to keep fighting in UFC. This last poin is not official, but there is some talks that saying that this fight is an final test for Overeem and he needs to win to keep his contract with UFC.

On the other hand, if Overeem defeat Mir with a great win, he can come back to his shape and come back to be the champ that we know. But is early to bet in this, what we fans can do is hope that the fight between Mir and Overeem can be a great fight, cauuse this division need more emotions.

What do you think about this fight: Dos Santos vs. Overeem?

Just to remember, see this video and think about it:

The Highlights of the Undefeated Ronda Rousey

She is called rowdy, she is beautiful, she is loved and hated. She has the title and will fight for the second time in almost eight weeks. This is Ronda Rousey and now your have a opportunity to see her in action in this video.

It was announced at the UFC 168 post-fight press conference that Rousey will defend the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship against fellow Olympic Medalist and undefeated fighter, Sara McMann in the main event at UFC 170 on February 22, 2014

This will be a fight different, first because this is a woman's fight and second both of they have an olympic medal to show for their future grandsons.  This is not a title fight, but a moment to remember for a long time. I am not right, but I don't remember of fights between two olympians medalists in different class of martial arts. Besides there is a considerable difference of age, what can be consider one more atractive point about this fight.

As Rousey has said, they know what it represents for the sport and it will be amazing:

"I think it's an amazing matchup, its good not just for women's MMA but MMA in general. Two undefeated fighters, both not just Olympians but medalists, all those factors combined. Olympic medalists undefeated for the championship, we've never had that many factors come together, so yeah, it just really speaks to how far MMA has come in general."

COLE MILLER

by UFC Page: http://www.ufc.com/news/Cole-Miller-Back-in-GA

UFC featherweight Cole MillerUFC featherweight Cole Miller
Cole Miller was gone. As fast as the Augusta native finished off Joe Germain with a guillotine choke 36 seconds into their 2006 bout at the Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater in Atlanta, he was back in the locker room, having climbed over the cage before the official announcement of his eighth pro MMA win was made.

“I ran out of there kind of like BJ Penn (after his win over Caol Uno),” recalled Miller, “and a lot of people asked me why I did that. They said ‘oh, that was disrespectful.’”

He pauses.

“I don’t think they got it,” he resumes. “That was why I did it. I did it because it was disrespectful to him.”

More than seven years after the bout, Miller remembers all the details of the lead-up to his match with Germain, which marked his last fighting appearance in his home state until he heads into the UFC Octagon at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth this Wednesday to faceSam Sicilia.

“While we were sitting at this long table with the promoter, signing the contracts, he (Germain) said something to his coach, but he said it loud enough for me to hear,” chuckled Miller. “He didn’t say it to me, but it was for me.”

Needless to say, the comment wasn’t complimentary, and basically centered on what Germain was going to do to his opponent on fight night. Miller, never one to sit idly by in such situations, filed the comment away and answered on fight night. When it was over, he simply left.

“It was a nice quick little fight,” said “Magrinho,” then just 21. This was after he joined American Top Team in Florida, but before The Ultimate Fighter or the UFC called. Regardless, Miller had found his niche in life.

“I knew I was going places,” he said. “I didn’t know I was going to the UFC because of the lack of lightweight fights, and honestly I was not a lightweight – I was a featherweight. I was fighting at any weight between 145 and 155. But I was walking around at 152 pounds. At that point my dream was to be the Shooto world champ. That’s where I thought the pinnacle of my career would be.”

It was far from the local Georgia scene, where he made his bones fighting in promotions like Full Throttle, the North American Combat Challenge, and the Combat Sports Challenge. And that’s not even counting his host of amateur fights before he started to punch for pay. Let’s just say the fighting life wasn’t too glamorous at times.

“Once I fought in a ring that had a patch in the middle of it that was a completely different color. The canvas was off-white and there was a gray patch right in the center. And the venue smelled of cow manure because they had an animal trade show the night before. (Laughs) I fought in that, I fought in rec centers, but I’ve fought in the Mandalay Bay and American Airlines Arena too, so I’ve come a long way, and I’ve seen MMA come a long way, and how cool is that.”

Very, especially since the bout with Sicilia will be his 16th in the Octagon, an impressive nearly seven year run that nonetheless some thought was in danger of reaching an end after Miller lost three of four fights in 2012-13. One of those people was Miller, who made his peace with such a scenario heading into his match with Andy Ogle last October. In fact, he believes that training camps are easier after a loss than a win.

“I find myself accepting that this is the end of my UFC stint and I gotta go back to working the minor leagues,” he said. “I kind of come to grips with that in the first week of my training camp coming off of a loss, and when I come to grips like that, I actually tend to fight better. I feel like coming off of a win is a little tougher, trying to protect the streak, and the expectations of people are a little harder to deal with coming off a win. I also feel like I judge myself so much harder. But when I’m coming off a loss and I already accept that I’m gonna lose my job and I’ve accepted every possible outcome, I think to myself ‘none of these people can judge me.’ All my peers respect me. When you’re fighting at this level, everyone knows that it’s just one mistake. So I don’t feel the pressure coming off a loss. It’s kind of backwards when you think about it, but it’s the honest truth.”

And Miller is an honest fighter, something that has been evident throughout his career, so while he defeated Ogle with a hard-fought and impressive unanimous decision in Manchester, England, the 29-year-old will put it in his book of positive memories for a reason you wouldn’t expect.

“I had a pretty decent training camp, but I had some health issues that made my weight cut extremely difficult,” said Miller, who was making his fifth start at featherweight after fighting his previous bouts in the UFC at 155 pounds. “Being able to fight that fight and then lasting more than one round and me coming out with the win instead of a loss in the first round was probably one of the most spectacular things I’ve ever done in my career.”

It was also a testament to the value of experience for Miller, especially when meeting a talented fighter like Ogle who was only competing in his third UFC fight.

“I remember at one point in the first round we had a light standup exchange where I cracked him in the opening 30 seconds,” said Miller. “I cracked him pretty hard with a straight right hand and I saw him wincing, and he started backing down from me. Then I hit him with three straight rights in a row and he forced a clinch. And when he rushed me to the fence, I created a couple angles where I was getting on to my side in one direction. He would change for a takedown attempt and then I would switch my hips to the other side. And while I was on the fence, I actually said to myself ‘okay, you need to slow this down because you cannot fight at this kind of pace for 15 minutes.’”

Guess this wasn’t something the “old” Cole Miller would have done?

“I would have just kept fighting, and then I would have probably pulled guard,” he laughs. “That’s what old Cole Miller would have done.”

The new Miller is here now though, and in keeping with his penchant for telling it like it is, he pulls no punches when it comes to breaking down his upcoming bout with the hard-hitting Sicilia, another TUF 15 alum like Ogle, but one with a distinctly different fighting style, one that Miller is certainly wary of.

“He’s the kind of fighter that I respect,” said Miller of his opponent. “He’s like the Rocky Balboa of mixed martial arts. You look at him and you see him fight, and you’re like ‘wow.’ You would never want to take a seminar from that guy, you would never want to pay money to learn  how to throw six guns and bricks from the hips like he does, but he makes every fight a dogfight. And that’s not what people call a fun fight. A fun fight for me is matching my technique versus another guy’s. I can get hit hard, but this is the kind of fight where the guy has no regard. He’s throwing anvils from his knees and he’s got one punch knockout power in both hands. He’s not in there to find out who the better fighter is; he’s in there to find out who’s better right then and there at that split second. And that’s not really the fight that I try to have or pursue, but we all know I can fight that fight. We’ve all seen me fight plenty of fights like that. It’s just not my preference.”

But as Chael Sonnen famously says, when they call his name, he makes that walk to the Octagon, and Miller is no different. He may not be craving the possibility of tasting Sicilia’s power, but he accepts it as part of the job. He always has.

“I think mentally, we’re both in the same of frame of mind, which is why I think it makes for such a good fight,” he said. “You never saw me mentally break in a fight. You’ve seen me physically look like crap sometimes, and you’ve seen me take my losses. But I keep getting up and I keep coming. If I ever got finished, it wasn’t because I just stopped fighting; I was trying to move, trying to get away, or somebody just put me out. So I’m in there to fight, but I try to have that more technical style. He does make it a dogfight, but we both have a dogfight mental attitude going into it.”

As for that job, which took him from the rec centers of Georgia to the height of the mixed martial arts universe, Miller smiles.

“I’ve got a good job. It’s bittersweet and I hate it sometimes, but it’s a cool thing to have.”

Hard Decision

All beginning is a time to think about the things that will come or that are waiting to come. Is a time to look to the past trying to project the future. In sport's world is not so different, there is a time to plan and time to do. In MMA are a little different because is a contact sport and injuries are very common.
Talking about injuries, is not possible forget Cain Velasquez , the Heavyweight champ.  He got an injury and must come back in the second half of this year. Because it, the next challenger Fabricio Werdum has had a hard decision: wait for Velasquez or fight against other guy and maybe lose this great opportunity. He said for some media that he  will not wait and want to fight against Travis Browne, anoher fighter that has great chances to get a title shot. It for MMA fans around the world was great, because it will creat a chance to see who is the best to fight agains  the champ.
But thinking only about Werdum decision, this was really hard to do. He will fight with Browne that is a dangerous guy and is in a great moment inside the cage. This fight will show who is ready and who will wait more time to title shot. It will be amazing to watch.

If win the next fight, Cormier deserves a title shot?

In his last interview, Daniel Cormier has said that if him win the next fight, he could get a title fight. In UFC's world, many things are possible, but the issue is: Is he able to get it so fast in this new class?

Like he said, he knows that the next opponent for the shot is Gustafsson, but he hopes to show a good work and get it.: "I think some things have to happen, with Gustafsson fighting as well as he did last time he probably will get a championship fight first," Cormier said. "But if I fight well enough, anything can happen. Nothing is promised in the UFC. If I fight well enough I hope to get the title shot."

It's early to get any conclusion, but is time to think about and wait for another chapters.

Let your oppinion here!!!
Why the Weideman's behavior is so different now?

Since Dana White has said that Belfort will have this title shot, Weidmand and his head coach started to talk about Belfort and TRT's issues. What it seem is that they are trying to put this fight in Vegas to force Belfort to fight without his treatment.

To answer Belfort  posted the text bellow:

"Some people achieve things and life and when they get there they think is permanent , but the true is the only thing is permanent is the absolute true so be true with your self and stop being afraid of your challenges and stop giving excuses why you will fail . I AM COMING AFTER YOU I KNOW THAT YOU ARE VEY CONCERN OF IT. I CAN FEEL IT!!! "

This is just the begin of this war and we will se more in the next days.

Rousey vs. McMann

And now it's time to see the stare down between Rousey vs. McMann. For this time, Ronda and McMann were calm and it was not "rowdy". See!
